Hi Guys

Is there any way of packaging a MS Access 2000 Database (so that it includes the relevent dlls, without having MS Access Developer Edition?

I have Access 2000 Pro

I have looked at InstallShield but it needs the 'Redistributable' file that comes with Developer Edition

Any Ideas?

Thanks Si

SimonFinn,

Open for correction, but I am afraid you have only three options from the users perspective.

1) End user/recipient must have Access installed.

2) You save the reports in SNAPSHOT and get the user the free viewer from Microsoft.

3) Provide the MDB, but create a VB6, .NET, C++, etc application that can access the data in the MDB via ADO.

(Why-Because Biil had the EULA's created to prevent not buying the full Access app. $$)

Hope this helps.

the office developer edition includes a package and deployment wizard add-in that will do this. again, $$$.

I feared that this was the case

Thanks for the help anyways guys!

Cheers Si
