Packages stuck at "Execute phase is beginning."

On packages which use SQL Server as a source/destination with the OLEDB provider, the package is taking a long time to complete the Pre-Execute. After it finally completes, it is stuck at "Execute phase is beginning."

This is SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition x64. The problem occurs from BIDS when running the package on my machine, or when running the package directly from the server.

The only thing which has changed is that I installed/unistalled/reinstalled the Oracle data access components.

Any help would be appreciated.
