Recently created a VB 6 program to call and print reports from CR 8.5.
Program works great, compiled normally, but does package up correctly.

I am using the active X control 8.0.0.4.

The right directories are created in the packaging process, yet when I access them, they are empty.

Whats up?

The person running the install will need local admin rights.

What install program are you using? I've had problems with the VB6 PDW and found Installsheild Express a vastly superior install program.

The PDW is a lazy tool, that is not always so good at it's job.

In your case, you may want to have a look through the runtime.hlp file on your system and ensure you are manually adding the required files for the OCX control to your setup.

Not quite sure how mean the directories are created, but when you access them they are empty. Dev machine or client side?
