Package and deployment

I am trying to use the package and deployment program but am having a few problems.

1. when going throught the process it flags up a missing file called "2"?? what is that?

2. When it is complete and you try and use the setup.exe it gets right to the end and then comes up with this error

...\temp\msftqws.pdw\$(DLLSelfRegisterEx)
not registered because not found

can someone please shed some light on what is wrong??

Had similar problem.
Open your .VBP file in notepad and search for a reference similar to the one in my project.

Reference=*\G{3F4DACA7-160D-11D2-A8E9-00104B365C9F}#5.5#0#C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\VBSCRIPT.DLL\3#Microsoft VBScript Regular Expressions 5.5

Note the \3 after the .DLL in my example
What I did was ignore the missing "3" file then manually added the VBSCRIPT.DLL to my setup package

Answer to Question 2:

After Packaging open Setup.lst File (As Notpad) In Package Dir.
find $(DllSelfRegisterEx). You should see $(DllSelfRegisterEx) highlighted in the for MSCal.ocx.
Change $(DllSelfRegisterEx) to $(DllSelfRegister)
Save and close Notpad
