Hi all,

I have tried the 'Package & deployment wizard' in VB6 and all steps work fine except the last one - create package - when the program hangs and I have to restart my PC.

Is this a known problem?

What advantages is it to use the program 'Fusion' to package and deploy?

The main advantage with fusion is that you create a single executable. All referenced DLLs, OCXs etc are compressed in the EXE. At run time they are decompressed into memory and used. This means your bypass other DLLs & OCXs etc. that have been registered on the target machine.

I didn't have much luck with it when I tried it and if you can't get the VB deployment wizard to work then there is a reasonable chance that fusion won't work since it does the same things just in different ways.
