Hi All,
I wish to make use of my Work PC contacts on my Home PC. I thought easy create a .pab and transfer it via disk etc. However a quick read here confirms .pabs are a thing of the past. Whats my best options of sharing contacts over the 2 machines? (Both outlook 2003)

2003 no longer supports creation of a pab. you can import from a pab but not export?

Why would you Export to a pab? That file format is no longer supported.

Export to a *.pst file that you can then import/link to on your home machine.

I am trying to import a .pab file from the exchange server to the user. We just went from 2000 to 2003 and can not get this to transfer to her personal address book. I have the microsoft instructions, but they don't seem to work. Any help would be appreciated and thanks in advance

Hi,
If you're looking to only transfer contacts, you can use the File/Import Export tool to export Contacts to an Excel file. Then you can Import the Excel file to your Contacts folder on another PC using the same method (File/Import Export). Using the .pst will recreate all objects in Outlook, including email, Calendar, etc.
HTH,

Best,
Blue Horizon [2thumbsup]
