PA equipment interface

Can anybody ever connected public address equipment to Meridian for mass announcement from telephone via some accesscode .

Can it be connected to COT card.

Please advise wht hardware may be required for this kind of an arrange ment.

the most common interface is a trunk card.. we use a valcom page unit between the two.. that gives us area control... the page system needs a 600 ohm imput.. if not you need a valcom or a impendence matching transformer.. radio shack, or a simular provider.. nortel have a trunk type pag, i use cot so i can set the timed force disconnect, set at two minutes due to analog stations that hookflash and put the overhead on hold..

if you need the code, let us know and one of us will post it.. (fyi) the most common access is acod, it could be a dsc or even spn if needed.. i've use dsc's to insert a single digit at times to give a single tone burst prior to voice.. that unit has a delay that cut off the 1st word of the announcement, the tone solved that problem..
