Hi everyone,
I got a P550R with some VALNS on it. One Vlan is for my firewalled servers that go out through a BSD Firewall with 2 network cards. One card on the firewall plugs into the Upstream ports Vlan, and the other is plugged into the Firrewalled Servers Vlan.
Spaning Tree Protocol is per Vlan
All regular Vlan's have priority 32768, while the upstream ports vlan has 3200 priority.
Here is the problem. Out of nowhere i get an event of a "New Root Bridge" "0X800000306D3B1C00:Bridge 19. [Firewalled Servers]"
Once this occurs, all the servers in the Firewalled Vlan stop working on the network.
I'm new at this, what am i doing wrong. What is causing this. I know it has something to do with STP, but don't know what. Should i use a different STP Topology?
Any suggestions welcome.
