P/O Receipt Entry In Progress

I had a users that has received the following error when trying to do Receipt of Goods Entry.

Items can not be deleted,renumbered or merged while P/O Receipt entry is in progress.

Does any one have an idea as to correct this?

Have you checked that the P/O Receipt of Goods and Receipt of Invoice file is empty (it is a shared file)-- Run the P/O Receipt Register/Journal and see if anything pops out. If there is, you'll need to update/delete it before renumberming. I believe the delete/renumber merge doesn't work if you have purchase orders that reference the item (even if the purchase order is closed/completed) -- so you might need to delete the closed/completed purchase order before continuing..
