#p frame action stalls my browser??????

hi peeps
i posted a Q the other day about hitting print during mid play of an swf sitting in browser (ie) and it printing the final frame only and the answer was to put a #p in the frame label (thankyou oldnewbie). Unfortunaltly this freezes my browser till printing is finished and stops the swf from playing any further.
have you guys got any ideas of how to resolve this.
