P&D Wizard Issues

I must say that when loading my app onto another machine that has been packaged using the P&D Wizard, the results are very disappointing.

It isnt too bad if the machine has Access2K on it but if you have to rely on the runtime version included by the wizard, it doesnt seem to like the Common Dialog facility. Indeed I get an "ActiveX cant create object" error. Does anyone know if I'm missing something here during the creation of the disc?

Also, as a footnote, having developed my app at a resolution of 1152 x 864 (a big mistake) when it's loaded on a machine with a lower resolution and smaller screen, it looks abysmal. The resizing code from Letwin et al can only go so far. I'm beginning to wonder if I used the right technology....
Rant over.

When you create your package, are you including the common dialog ocx with the package? If not, then this is what you are missing. Failing that, what are you using the CDC for? If it's for open/save dialogs I have code that accesses the API directly, meaning you don't need the CDC. Ask me if you want it.
As for the resizing problem, that's not a problem with the technology, the same would happen with any development platform I would have thought.

Thanks for your reply Ben. Yes I am including the CDC in the package but I'm wondering if perhaps I need to look for any dependency files for it during the creation?

I've also been reading up on .mdw files and how they're meant to be included when using the wizard. Do you know how integral they are to its success?

Blimey that came out a bit wrong! Replacement below (hopefully!):
