OX32 and an Analog Station Module distance

Any one have a idea on the max distance you can get out of an ASM. I know you can get 15,000 feet with a ATA2. Which I an suprised. That distance is ATA2 to Analog device.

I was told by ITAS 5,000 for ASM. I have one customer that is 6,000 and no problems.

i have a ata runing over a dry co boc pair 1.2 miles away from the switch. works perfect.

The manual also states that the ASM is not for OPX. It recommends that the ATA2 continue this function. Curiously, according to the manual, there isn't station supervision on the ASM as there is on the ATA2. If you are OPXing the ASM you might want to put in some fast grounding protection blocks on the circuits right at -48vdc.
