Partner has an issue after adding a new OWS client. DNA version is 5.2. The OWS does not seem to pick-up the data from ldb when doing a search.

The new client is logged on, RDS connector shows green. when we run RDM.exe, it shows data is syncing and has no error messages when OWS is started up, but when we check the data folder of OWS, the files are not updated. We tried manually copying the data files of another working OWS to the data folder of the faulty one. OWS still does not search the local database.

Anyone with a similar experience? Thanks.

'Windows' problem I suspect. Reinstall the client under local admin and make sure you log into the PC after install the 1st time as the local admin before handing to the operator to log in

Hi parnum. Just tried but got the same result. The environment is a workgroup and the local admin accounts on client PCs are created as administrators on the server. I can map the "Installation Files" from MRS and access the server via \\server\c$.

Now I can see that the data in C:\DNA_C\OWS\DATA gets updated when OWS is run but as before, no search results are found. I tried to run LDS to see if there's a difference and after some time, OWS is able to search but the data seems old without any recent changes. The RDS plug is also disconnected when LDS is running.

map a drive to DNA_S on the server, does it ask you for a username and password? does the server have the rights to access the client folder? Windows permissions issue,

I can map a drive or folder from the client to the server as well. It no longer asks for a username and password after editing the local security policy on the client.

Am I supposed to be checking if the client is able to access the SQL database from the server or something else? If the data automatically gets replicated to the LDB when OWS is started, is there a way to check if OWS is at least querying the ldb from Data folder?
