I have a user who needs to create tables and or views in SQL 2000. I do not want to put them in the dbo group but I also do not want their Windows Account being the Owner of the table or view. Is there a way to make the owner dbo even though the user who created it does not have dbo rights?

You can change the objectowner after it is created.

look up sp_changeobjectowner in BOL (books on-line)
