Hi all we are running SBS 2003R2 and one of the bosses pointed out to me that when he sets up an appoinment via OWA he can only set a reminder for two days before the event, but in the office (Outlook 2003) he can set it up for a two week warning.
Is there any way to get OWA to allow the 2 week warning?

Thanks

Yes, upgrade to Exchange 2007.

Thanks, I was afraid that would be the answer. We just went to SBS 2003 R2 so an upgrade to Exchange 2007 is out of the question at this time. I hope to got to SBS 2008 next year (big maybe).
Oh well we will survive.

Hoipefully your hardware is x64, otherwise you would be looking at a new server to be able to run SBS 2008.

Yep we bought new hardware that is all x64, because we were planning on going to SBS 2008 origionally. Microsoft delays and company deadlines forced the issue and we had to go to SBS 2003 R2, but the hardware will handle 2008 just fine.

FYI. there isn't a 2003 to 2008 in-place upgrade. So you will either need to image and move your 2003 install to a virtual machine to do the migration or you will need to rebuild from scratch.

I have also read that. We are debating between taking an image and going virtual with it on a different machine, just long enough to complete the move or getting new hardware and moving to that. I was at some meeting and an SBS expert said that it was a one way trip, the old SBS 2003 box would be really beaten up and you can't go back once you start.
I haven't seen that in print though. I guess it is time to start researching the move from 2003 to 2008.

The 2003 box will become a member server and needs to be powered off within 21 days (provided you add the registry key to extend it to that long). Using a virtual image is a great way to do it and give yourself a way to go back.

I recommend using ShadowProtect from StorageCraft to do that.

I hope you find this post helpful.
