Hi,

I was wondering if it's possible to restrict an user to access his/her mail by OWA only and not be able to login to any of local network resources (desktops).

Sometimes we have consultants that work for us and they only require OWA access.

Our setup is -
2K3 Server
2K3 Exchange

If possible, what will be the easiest way to set this up?

Thanks,

jyoo

Simple solution is to create a dummy workstation ID, then on the users properties set a login restriction so they can only login locally to the dummy account.

I hope you find this post helpful.

doesn't that mean he/she can only login to the OWA from that workstation? I would like the user to be able to login anywhere from the Internet.

When you login via OWA you are coming in via IIS which will authenticate you, but you are not logging into the domain hte same as when you are at a workstation.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Regards,

Mark
