I can't get OWA to work from the outside.

From an inside browser everything looks fine. From the outside I only get text downloaded, none of the gifs files show up.

I have ports 443, 80, 25 open and even tried putting the server in the DMZ temporarily to see if that would work but it did not.

I do not a certificate on the server; maybe that's what I need?

A certificate shouldn't matter. Make sure you have run the ICW to allow access to OWA. Also make sure Exchange is fully patched. You only need 443 open for OWA not 80.

I found the problem.

I had opened only the Exchange folder to all IP addresses. Once I allowed all IPs to the other Exchange folders then everything was fine.
