I have SBS 2003. For some reason outlook web access does not work from internet. it works fine with in the network. I made another virtual dir under default website and opened it for anaonymous access to test dns/iis. new site works both as mysite.com/test and my_static_ip/site. this tells me that my firewell is probably blocking the connection. tried running the firewall wizard in server management, it asks for running internet connection wizard which I did but problem continues. I am yet to look at the router port forwarding. what ports I need to allow in order for OWA to work. i thought it was 443 is it not ? I will check that and post it shortly. Any other ideas ???

If it works internally but doesn't work externally your issue is more than likely to do with your hardware filewall. Yes it operates over port 443.

Also, you can't test your external webmail from inside your own network, you need to be outside, i.e. test it from home, clients, coffee shop etc.

remember you need to browse to or
if you are using RWW but you will also need your RWW ports open.
