owa not updating email icons

When I reply to an email using OWA over the web, and then go into work to check my emails using Outlook 2000, the email that I replied to using OWA has not changed its icon to indicate that I have replied to it. Is this just a fact of OWA, or is there a setting to make it change the icon?
