Probably an elementary question, so I apologize.

We have a new SBS 2003 server behind a Watchguard Firebox firewall. Also have a range of external ips.

Currently server is set with a static ip 192.168.111.12, router at 192,168.111.1, subnet 255.255.255.0

Need the OWA server to be accessable from outside via internet. How do you get an outside static IP set up for the server. Tried just changing it, however our subnet externally is a different #, and everything freaks out when I change it.

Thanks,

G-

You will already have an external IP address. To find this out, goto
This is actually the external IP address of the Router (or router+firewall if it's an all-in-one). To find out if this is static or not, you'll have to chack with your ISP.

You will need to set your router/firewall to forward the following TCP ports to your SBS Server's internal IP address (192.168.111.12):
"TCP Port 80" (for HTTP) &
"TCP Port 443" (for HTTPS)"

Then you will be able to get to OWA by going to
There's more info about this in thread1584-1259485 & thread1584-1259950

In the 2nd thread, '58sniper' explains how you can expand on this and have OWA accessable via "
Hope this helps
