Hi,

I can't get OWA to launch from the outside of my network.

Internally: I can type mail.domain.org/exchange in IE and access my exchange server. put in username and password in POPUP and it works. EMAIL DOES WORK and FLOW. OUTLOOK DOES WORK and Connects to exchange server.

Externally: When I do it it gives me an error that the internet can't find the page.

Here's what i've done and my settings.

Godaddy is hosting my domain.org. I've got a MAIL record pointed to my public IP of x.x.x.195. set Nameservers to my ISP.

ISP Router is x.x.x.193. Firewall Router is x.x.x.194. Created NAT public IP of x.x.x.195 pointed to internal exchange server of 10.1.1.11. I got firewall access rules of allowing SMTP to enter exchange server.

In AD in DNS: created primary zone for domain.org and A record of mail.domain.org.

ASP.net,NNTP, were all installed before installing exchange 2k3.

I went through the Internet Mail Wizard in Exchange Sys Mangager with no errors. Is there any other settings in EXCHANGE SYSTEM MANAGER that I need setup?

When you created your MX record in PUBLIC DNS, did you give it the same name as you are typing in IE?

Have you tried to telnet to port 25 from the outside?

Are you forcing HTTPS for OWA and do you have certificates loaded?

I hope you find this post helpful.

Regards,

Mark
