OWA--error 500 internal server error

I'm hoping that someone might have an answer. I am trying to load OWA 5.5 on Win 2K. I get everything up and running and it works fine. After being on-line for about 30 minutes it stops working. You can access the log-on page, it prompts for your username and password, but then responds with the error 500, internal server error.

We are running a NT 4.0 network with exchange 5.5. The owa server is in our DMZ. We currently have OWA running on a Win NT server and it works fine.
