Can Outlook Web Access on Exchange 5.5 run on any other type of Internet Server other than IIS?

Thanks

NO, OWA will only run on Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) 3.0 or later.

IIS is free. There are several utilities to secure it and the patches for Nimda and Code Red were out several months before the exploits happened. Not sure if that had anything to do with your curiosity of the alternatives.

There is URLScan, IIS Lockdown and at least two others from Microsoft. Dan

Hey Dan thanks for the help.
We originally had OWA on our Exchange server, but we are now moving it to another non mission critical server.
Perhaps you can help me with another issue.
I am trying to install IIS 4.0 from the Windows NT 4.0 Option Pack CD. (Sept. 98). After the install I am trying to install OWA from Exchange 5.0 CD. It gives an error that it cannot install unless Active Server Pages are installed. Shouldn't these have been installed from the option pack CD?

Thanks

I think that problem is cured by running in this order:

NT Server
Server SP4
Option Pack
Server SP6
Exchange (it may need to be 5.5 though)
Exchange latest SP
Server SP6

Is there any other way to fix it besides the above order?
Download from Microsoft?
