Hello,

We've been running exchange 2003 on Windows 2003(no srv packs)and owa with no problems. Restarted the server over the weekend and now owa won't work using ssl (https). It works the regular way (http) just fine but not with ssl and nothing was changed. I can go to both and so I don't know whats up.

Any help is greatly appreciated, thank.

Jay

Before doing anything install Windows 2003 SP1 and Exchange 2003 SP2. Get your system up to a known good configuration level. The further out you go the less likely you are to receive critical updates since Microsoft has an N-1 policy.

Verify that port 443 is still open on your firewall.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Service packs are not the answer as everything was working fine before the restart.

443 is open and passing through the firewall.

Service packs are not the answer as everything was working fine before the restart.

The reason there are service packs is because there are security holes and bugs. Patch the system so you can eliminate those risk factors. Something has changed on your system. The fact that it was working fine BEFORE doesn't mean it is working now right. ;-)

I hope you find this post helpful.
