OWA 5.5 does not authenticate users

Hi all,

This problem is really annoying, I was able to install OWA on exchange 5.5 server just fine, my main OWA page comes up ok as well, when I enter my mailbox name, it promts me to enter my "domainname\user and password" which i do, but it doesn't authenticate, keep prompting me again and again.

However If I do it from the exchange machine it self it seems to work fine and let's me into my inbox.

I'm using windows 2000 domain, no ssl for now.

Please please help I really want to get this working.

Check the "Exchange" Directory Security settings in the IIS Manager configuration.

Make sure to have a check on Basic Authenticate and manually browse for your domain. Nothing else.
