This usually happens when another TTY has accessed the low speed application (Such as meridian Mail)& have got cleared down from the Meridian Mail program correctly & will have left the terminal switched on.
All you need to do, is to disable all of the other TTY's until you see SL1> appear & then re enable the TTY's in LD 37. You should then be ok.
