Ovl 401- Audit Trail buffer full

Greetings All,

When I logged into cs 1000 this morning I had this error OVL401 The audit trail buffer is full. It will not start to wrap. I have not seen this before. Can you advise what it is and what I might need to do?

First time I've ever seen this. And right now we cant patch our system up. So looks like we might be SOL on this one.

Yep, SOL until you can get that patch. That is the only solution that came up on the search on Avaya support.

I don't think you have a problem and you don't need to do anything if you don't want to.

The audit trail buffer is history of who logged in and which overlays they went to. You can print the AUDT in LD 22 to see this. You can also increase the size of the buffer if you want but it will still eventually fill up unless you print it out.
By printing it, you clear the buffer. If you are paranoid (like me) you can print the AUDT every day either manually using a script.

OVL401 is just telling you that the buffer has filled and the old records will now be overwritten with recent activity.

DCH is created. SL1 session hangs.
Cause

Software BUG to do with the pointers in the IO Table for PTY's and DCH's.

Fix Patch MPLR32167

I believe the OVL401 message just wasn't cleaned out of the TTY log snippet in the solution note; OVL401 happening periodically is normal.
