Overwrite Protection Impacting Backup Speed

Hi,

When I configure Overwrite Protection to NONE on my media set, I am able to backup my data at respectable speeds (200MB/min on DLT). However when I change Overwrite Protection to a figure other than NONE, my backup speeds drop to 10MB/min.

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Running BE8.6 3878 and Compaq DLT Autoloader 1/16
