overtyping none editable data in a DW appearing in the firest editable

I have a datawindow with both none editable columns and editable columns. If I select one of the none editable cells and then click on an editable cell the data is being written to the first editable cell.

how can I stop this happening

Make sure you dont have any code written in the editchanged event
