Does any one know of a report (or have some Crystal schema) that can assist with identifying where we may be overstocked by item_no taking into account sales forecast, qoh, safety stock, lead times, and 2 level BOM's? I understand we have some options in MRP reports for ageing etc, but my assumption is that is based on what MRP is recommending to order. Besides, those standard Progression reports are like reading music - and Beethoven we are not. I am hoping to get something that reports by exception (not MRP exception) for stock on hand at present point in time. Don, Kevin, Andy...anyone??

PS..are you blokes going to be at Engage?

I will be at Engage, it'll be good to see you again.

Since you are using MRP, then the requirements are in the MRREQFIL_SQL table. The due_date is when it is required. How this table gets populated is highly dependent on how you have setup up warehouses, order policy codes, planning periods, how you use master scheduling, etc., and you need to understand this well to effectively use any reports you create from the requirements file.

You could use this and compare it to current qty on hand to see where you are in trouble, but why not just use MRP?

I'm not sure that helps, please let me know your thoughts.

I will not be at Engage.

I think Don has a good point. Trying to make a Crystal that shows this data would be cumbersome to say the least (if do-able). To many sub reports and conditional formatting to make it understandable. I would try to understand the intricate details of the MRREQFIL_SQL and the processes/criteria that were used to create these entries, then report from there.
