okay, i have setup an html page with a frameset that includes a column of updating images on the left and a column on the right which includes a flash movie "flash navigation" in the top frame which is a navigation tool for the frame below "main"

-------------------
[ ][ flash ]
[ ][ navigation]
-------------------
[ ][ ]
[ ][ main ]
-----[ ]

-------------------

the problem i have run into is that when certain pages are loaded into the "main" window ( & a few others I've found) via the flash navigation, the loaded page overrides my frameset and instead of loading into the "main" frame, it eliminates my frameset and loads the desired page into a single frame. Is there a way for me to get around this? it is desireable that one be able to navigate freely in the web but that my frameset would remain while they navigated in the "main" frame. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
TIA

here's a link to the above mentioned html, since posting, I have found that some pages when navigated within also override the frameset, could the base target command work? I've tried it, but am not sure I have it in the right place

thanks

As far as I know, if a page wants to override your frameset, there is nothing you can do about it. There may be a way to handle to problem using layers, but I'm not very knowledgeable about them. Tracy Dryden
