I couldn't find this in the archives, so....

I'm trying to set the property of a targeted mc to a certain height and width. I've created an "empty" movie clip with the right height and width dimensions, but it still seems to inherit it's parents mc dimensions!!!

My question is there a way around this? That is when I loadmovie(and external .swf) into the "empty" mc(which is nested inside another mc), I want it to get the same properties as the original .swf(which is actually a quick time movie ala sorenson squeeze) to .swf).

Thanks anyone who can help,
Brandon

can you not just change the dimensions after the MC is loaded?
_root.pathToMCHolder._width=value;
_root.pathToMCHolder._height=value;
etc
im just learnin so maybe not;)
cheers
