Hey there,

I'm making a menu with DIVs that pop up and overlap content on my page. If I have a select box on my page the DIV will not overlap it, the select box is always on top even if I set the Z-index in the style.

Is there any way for some object (that could be used as a menu) could overlap the select box.

Thanks,

Nope, unfortunately no. Select boxes are rendered as OS elements and are as such always on top. The only solution you can use is to hide your select boxes while you use the menu. This is a perfectly viable and acceptable solution. Just set visibility: hidden to select box, when your menu is open.

That's odd. This problem does not happen with netscape. I wonder if the slackers at microsoft have plans to fix this in IE.

Thanks for the info.
