Hello,

I have an application that is causing flash player to display the ""Macromedia Flash Player has stopped a potentially unsafe operation" warning message and I was wondering if there was a way to override this w/ a publishing setting or an actionscript System command.

It's rather crucial that I kill this error message for our users.

Thanks for your help!

Since Flash Player 8 local SWFs are not allowed to communicate with network by default. If your SWF requires network connection ONLY then you can set the security type to "Local-with-networking" in the Publish Settings dialog box. But this means your SWF is now not allowed to communicate with local files.

The best solution is to create a Projector - Projectors have no restrictions. The other way is to create a FlashPlayerTrust configuration file, but you'll need to create an installer so that you can find the directory to place this file and write it to the local disk.

All are described in here: <

Hey - thanks for the reply and the link - this is great!

I solved my problem by exporting the file as an .exe file and it runs fine!

Cheers!
