Hi All,

I have a BCM400 Rel 3.6 w/ expansion cabinet. One of the DNs [an agent (supervisor) in one two skills] started having O/hearing or Crosstalk problems and it doesn't seem to matter whether the agent is logged in or not. I checked wiring between 110blocks and the T7316e terminal, even changed station jacks but to no avail.

I changed the port for this particular DN and got rid of the O/Hearing or Crosstalk problem. The thing is, I am worried that I might have faulty part/s on the system. How, or what is a good way to determine the cause of this problem?

I should mentioned that the expansion cabinet is installed right on top of the main cabinet and that I'm using the CAT5e patch cable supplied with the expansion cabinet. Also, I have not seen anything in the Alarm logs that suggests bad or faulty equipment.

Has anyone had this happen and what was the fix, please?

All help is greatly appreciated... thanks much in advance!

Never had it happen, but since the phones are digital, the only place the cross talk can be coming from,(Unless you have some acoustic feedback at the set itself - but since you said it went away when you switched ports that is unlikely..., is either on the CO lines, (What type are you using - most likely if regular analog lines), or in the equipment in the switch, (I would think this to be less likely... But if not your lines I don't know what else it would be.
Do you know what other phone(s) the crosstalk was with..?
Were they both on outside calls... ? That might help you narrow it down.

Thanks AlquestTech for the response. All my phones are T7316e sets, and I'm using 2 PRIs from the SP.

I did some monitoring while on speaker phone and then I tried listening through the handset. In either case, I was able to hear an outside party clearly but could hardly hear the internal party. I'm thinking I should be looking at the Target Line and try to find out what channel it's on, and go from there.

Does this make sense, or am I off in a wrong direction please?

Sounds like you may have a problem with your PRI card. Can you localize the issue to one or the other or is it on both?

Either way, yes, I think you should be looking at the line side of the issue vs the station side.
