I need to extend paging into a building where there will not be an IP Office chassis to connect to. Has anyone had any luck with an IP paging interface? There is already a page zone controller out there for zone paging. We would need to either incorporate this, or replace it for another zone paging interface. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks

Depending on your existing zone paging an ATA will work. I have used it with a Bogen PCM2000 with the ATA as an analog station.

I did this just last week with a Cisco PAP2T.

You will need a third party endpoint regardless of your VoIP solution.

The very "cost effective" solution is to put a basic IP phone (5602, 1603, etc) there, and wire from phone internal speaker to paging system input. We've done this a couple of times when budget was critical. It works just fine.

We use the Algo SIP Alerter for IP paging solutions. The only issue is that you can ONLY page to the SIP alerter if paging to the SIP alerter as to engage it you have to call the SIP extension.

MFORRENCE - I installed a 30 dollar used PAP2T for a 40 million dollar company and they complained of the cost. You can't go cheap enough.

@pmcook - WHAT? You're hosing those fine folks for thirty dollars? You know, a better company would pay for the privilege of installing this for us!
With the PAP2T solution, can you include with other phones to page as a group?
