Hi EMT guys,

What paging equipment and techniques has everyone been using for overhead paging on the UCx?

Helpful Tip: I personally have been using a SNOM PA1 which is a SIP device which registers to the UCx, and once dialed it immediately connects to the overhead paging. I've been able to mimic the Norstar Feature 61, Feature 62 and Feature 630 all effectively with my UCx.

Under the Paging Tab on the GUI:

With or without the Feature key initiated on the UCx,

You can place the SNOM PA1 into 1 Page Zone and the page code can be set to 62 (emulates Feature 62)
Then for the Phone Speaker paging only you can set it to 61 (emulates Feature 610)
Then for Paging Both Phones and the Loudspeaker at the same time, you can set it to 63 (emulates Feature 630)

What's interesting is that I have my IP Office and BCM50 6.0 SIP trunked into the UCx, so I access the paging from all three systems by dialing the UCx access codes.

So what other creative things have you UCx users done?

It would be great if the EMT guys could activate the paging output on the BCM Digital Gateways or the Trunk Port Paging on the M1/CS1000.
