I had a problem starting X server
If you get an error stating "Failed to open X server " then a description of of the error, it could be a hardware problem
There are two ways to connect to the monitor , it can be done with the Onboard or with the PCI card itself. By default when you install Redhat it sets itself with the Onboard bus card. Sometimes the connection could be done with the PCI card (as in my case) and I had to change the connections.
If you get an error saying that "could not resolve host 0.0:" then check the ifconfig-lo file.
For redhat 7.3 this file is in the /etc/sysconfig/networking/ folder
change the IPADDR to the correct value here
This of course will not happen with the default installation. However I had to change the values here to configure my system to a network
