When exporting to EXCEL 5 there is a limit of 16,384 records.
I have well over 60,000 records.
Is there some way to get around this 16,384 limit?
Is there a way to concatenate sheets or some such work around?
I think Excel can IMPORT an unlimited number of records. Could an Excel macro be run from VFP to do this.

Many thanks in advance.

No it can't. It's Excel that's the limit here. Try doing a COPY TO ... TYPE CSV into a text file from Fox and then importing the very long text file.

You can export 65,535 rows if you use COPY TO ... TYPE XL5 but you need Excel 97 to be able to read more than 16,384 rows.

More details under COPY TO in Help.

According to the Help for EXPORT ... TYPE XL5:

Include this option to create a Microsoft Excel version 5.0 worksheet file from a Visual FoxPro table. ... You can export a maximum of 65,535 rows, which includes one row reserved for the field header.

And yet we know that Excel 5.0 has a limit of 16,384 rows. Does that mean that the surplus rows are discarded, or is the Help wrong?
