ovdbcheck failing

My OV was generating a lot of messages and problems. I used the example in the manual the delete everything and start over. ovdbcheck is failing, can't connect to datasource it says. I am using the built-in database. How can I troubleshoot this thing? All other processes come up normally
this is 6.2 on solaris 2.8

How do I re-initialize the SOLID.DB. I believe this is my problem. It is huge. I don't care about loosing the data.

Found it. Some document at hp NMS data warehouse trouble shootimg. walks you through re-building a new solid.db. Fixed all my problems.
