I just upgraded our office to an MICS 7.0 w/ PRI from an 8x24 w/ analog line hand-off. We had the six lines defined on the M7310 phone sets, so the park & incoming vs. outgoing call was a little bit of a learning curve for our employees. What is the recommended method for placing outgoing calls with system speed dial or auto-dial external programmed buttons? Is there a better method than 'voice call' + 9, then system speed # or auto-dial external programmed button?

Intercom + 9 is the most common method.

System Speed Dials are to call a complete phone number
Voice Call is to instantly connect via hands free to another DN
Auto Dial can be programmed with a 9 but takes up a button

What you can do on each set is Feature * 82 and select Auto Dial, now you can just go straight to the key paid and dial 9XXX-XXX-XXXX without pressing any auto dial or intercom.

Press Park

Intercom 10X

Dial out
9XXX-XXX-XXXX
