outside connections

the VPN server(redhat) is running, I can connect to it via a windows client server, but once I am connected I can only do operations between the server and the client server, I can't ping or connect to any other servers, websites, or do anything internet related. What I can do is connect and ping the server i am connected too, and thats it.

I am thinking I forgot to configure something, or did something wrong... any ideas? I am using PPTP.
