I'm very new when it comes to CUCM, and the CUCM at my new job is very dated (trying to go hosted in the near future with our ISP). We're running CUCM v.6.1.5.. I was asked to setup an extension that would ring the desk phones of multiple people. I assigned them extension, lets say, "1234." Internally it's working well. when I call "1234" from my deskphone, it is ringing on all of their desk phones; however, when I call xxx-xxx-1234 from my cell phone the call is being answered by our receptionist, "1111." The extension "1234" will be a secondary extension for each of these users.

I know this is a routing or trunking issue, but I can't seem to find where I would even start to change this from happening. We have other lines that are already setup to do exactly what I mentioned before but it was done by someone else that is no longer with the company. I'm hoping I can train myself to handle this but haven't found any documentation for me to work with as of yet. Any help would be appreciated.
The more precise the better since I'm very green when it comes to this, but any documentation on how to do this would greatly be appreciated!

Does your incoming circuit or device have a different calling search space?
Sounds as if there is a translation in a partition which the incoming circuit has access to but internal calls don't.

I bet 1234 lives in multiple partitions. Use route plan report to verify. Then I would look at what thepfy said.
