Hi,

How does one get the screen to go through the Firewire port in Digital Video format so it can be saved on a video camera.

I would like to save a PowerPoint presentation in Digital Video format. I imagine it should really not be so hard.

Thanks
Jonathan

I don't think it's possible.
The only possible way I could think of is connecting
the TV-OUT of your video-card (if you have one) to a video recorder and record what ever you want to record.
Now you have the pc-image on a video tape.
Now connect the VCR to a analog capture card and capture the movie back to the pc. After you did that you can use a program like Adobe Premiere to send the movie through a fire-wire cable to your camera.

You also could use a screen capturing application like Camstatia or SnagIt to record your Powerpoint Show and it will save it as an AVI file.

I should mention that I did try snagit. Anything more than 3 frames per second or so, and the computer will freeze since the processor can not keep up with powerpoint and snagit -although, I tried this on 533mhz and 256mb ram which is slow by todays standards
