I have a data set from a query produced in sql query analyzer. How can I output the data from query analyzer without saving it as a stored procedure or view and calling it from crystal reports, ms access, or even mircrosoft reporting services. I want the output to be excel directly. I already know how to import an excel file into sql using the migration tool. Now I have a case where data orginated in sql and I want to output to an excel spreadsheet

Have you looked at connecting to the database from Excel and loading the data directly into the spreadsheet using your SQL as an option? Then all you have to do is open the spreadsheet and refresh the data.
