I am having a problem in MS Outlook that I have not had before. I am trying to test and implement changes to our change control system (an Outlook98 application). The change control system is maintained in the public folder.

Public Folders\All Public Folders\JMC - IT Change Control\JMC Change Control
Public Folders\All Public Folders\JMC - IT Change Control\JMC Change Archive

I also have a duplicate system setup within my profile:

Mailbox - Hardy, Simon\Inbox\JMC Change Control
Mailbox - Hardy, Simon\Inbox\JMC Change Archive

There are different forms for each of these systems. The only differences between the two is the code that tells Outlook where to create new items. The test system creates items within my Inbox folders, while the live system creates items within the public folders.

I use the duplicate system, in my Inbox, for testing changes to the system. Once correct I amend separate copies of the forms and publish to the public folders.

The problem that I am getting now is that when I publish a form to the test system it also replaces the same form in the live system, and vice versa. Even though I am publishing from a different source file, and to different folders.

This is causing me great problems as I can't test changes. If I make a change and publish the form to my inbox folders, those changes also go through to the live system, aswell as the live system then sending all new items to my folders.

I have never had problems like this before. I haven't had to work on this for a while, and the only difference is that before I was running Outlook98 under Windows98. Now I am running Outlook98 under Windows2000 professional.

It is most important that I am able to get round this problem fairly soon, as I have a number of changes to make now.

Any ideas?

Thanks In Advance

Sorted it. I changed the test system to use different message classes.

I am a bit confused as to why it was never a problem before though.
