Could someone please tell me if there is a way of configuring Exchanges Global Address list (or creating another view of recipients) to show an alias name instead of the firstname, lastname the reason I ask is I can setup an outlook profile using kix and profgen newprof that will point to a users mailbox through their logon to NT4 i.e. OUTEST1 will point to mailbox OUTEST1 The users will logon with a registered number i.e. 4009987 rather than i.e. John Smith. This will obviously cause much confusion when someone logs onto their email and wants to send to John Smith and they are confronted with a list of numbers instead of user names whos who?

The reason I ask is that in some time to come there will be some 5000 users + spread over mutiple domains and exchange servers (logging on with a registered number) and I would imagine it is alot easier to create mailboxes from a csv file exported from the NT domain than manually creating mailboxes and pointing them to a users registered number that they logon with

Sorry I know its a bit long winded
can this be done...
or is there an easier way of doing things

Thanxs in advance Stealth2K
