We installed a W2k Server, Metaframe XP FR1 server about 2 months ago. The vendor/tech rep who did the install did a custom install with Outlook 2K with (TRANSFORMS) so that each profile would auto-config with %username% and SERVERNAME parameters for the mailbox.
I saw him run the setup, and it worked like a charm!! There needed to be no manual config of the Outlook client mailbox in each profile after this custom setup--- when the user first-time dbl-clicks the Outlook icon, it goes out and pulls the %username% and SERVERNAME parameters in and presto! all done. Well, to make a long story short, this install had other bigger problems, so we had to trash the install and start from scratch about a week ago. Since then, I can't get the auto-config to work again for Outlook. I take pretty good notes usually, and the vendor is doing the bulk of the reinstall, but the tech rep that did the first install is no longer with the company and the new rep assigned (and I) are doing what we both agree should be the correct way to setup the custom install to auto-create the user Outlook profile.... but it "ain't-a'flyin!!" Any insight as to why this is not working? Thanks for any help- Laura
