I have Outlook XP on an otherwise very quick PC, with Windows XP SP2. It has an exchange account, but all the other accounts on the server are fine. I have checked the size and there's only 7000Kb. stored in personal folders and about 200 in the Mailbox. Any suggestions please?

Thanks,

Do other similar systems have the same file size and or performance issues?
Is the issue relative to performance of Outlook and accessing the server?
Have you tried a complete uninstall and reinstall of the application?

If by "running very slow" you mean there is a delay in receiving email, then that is a known problem with Outlook XP, Exchange, and Windows XP SP2.

You need to turn off the Windows XP SP2 firewall. That's the only work around that I have found with Outlook XP. This problem does not happen with Outlook 2003.

Help! I've fallen and I can't reach my beer.

If it is a delay in receiving email don't turn off the XP SP 2 firewall. Just create an exception in it for Outlook.

Cheers.
