Just upgraded my operating system and MS Office to XP. Now when my Access 97 macro attempts to send an e-mail(using SendObject), Outlook will not send it until I respond to an Outlook message that says something to the effect of “ A program is trying to automatically send an e-mail on your behalf. Do you want to allow this?”

Does anyone know how to turn this Outlook feature off or work around it?

Is your machine on a network? And if you are are you using exchange server for your email? Chuck

Yes I'm on a network and Yes we are using Exchange server on an NT 4.0. Not sure of the exchange version but I do know it is not high enought for us to go to server 2000.

Thanks

ok, you will need to install the file admpack.exe to the exchange server. This will allow the administrator to configure the settings for users to send from other programs. The file is on the Microsoft Office Enterprise CD in this folder \ork\files\pfiles\orktools\ork10\tools\admpack -or- you can go to and download it there.

Good luck! Chuck

Cassaro, Thanks for this information. Will have our exchange administrator check this out.
